Up until now, Tommy is totally fine, no more seizures. I am still waiting for the school year to finish so we can start getting him off the Dilantin. As for me, I am still on the pills the doctor prescribed for me to stay calm. Doc said they were addictive and are going to be a hard thing to get off of. I do not see a problem in doing so, but I don't want to get off of them just yet. Once the procedure of taking the second medication off of Tommy goes smoothly then I will consider it.
We moved in the new house. Well carpeted. What I wanted, to make sure he is not in danger if he does have a seizure. It is better then hard wood floors, I would say.
Our luck is so good, that the first day we started moving all our stuff over. The landlord switched on the water. Everyone went home, us we just went back to the other house to finish packing and stuff. The next morning came and we were in the midst of loading the van with more stuff. I get a phone call from the neighbor who lives next door to the new place. She's a friend of mine. She has the good news to tell me that there is water running out of the house everywhere. We run over there to find out that the water heater blew and all our stuff that we brought in so far was floating. Whoohoo!! what a house warming gift. Took us all day to move all the wet stuff out to the yard to dry, and rip out the carpets and use the shop vac on them. After three days of hard work, we finally had dry carpets but warped floors. Of course the floors had to replaced. What wonderful experiences in our new home. I'm sure it will get better as time goes on. I will keep smiling.
